George Corones did IT — twice!

By George he did IT!
A massive congratulations to 99 year old George Corones (Twin Towns) who broke 2 (provisional) World Records in Queensland over the weekend. George smashed the record in the 50m (56,12) and in the 100m (2,24,21) Freestyle in front of cheering crowds.

And we hear that one of his secrets to his success are a boiled egg for breakfast.

Thank you to Stan Pearson and Heather Butler for officiating at George's record swim. Thank you Swimming Australia and Masters Swimming Queensland for making this all possible and to Jess Corones and Sal Cuming for all their support and assistance. George's four sons, a daughter-in-law and two granddaughters were there to cheer him on as were the rest of the crowd.
