360000 EUR
-Fish farm of 5 hectares and 3 ponds close to the sea. -Annual rent of 7,000 EUR paid to the municipality and valid lease agreements up until 2050. The owner always has the first say on lease renewal. -Licenses allow the production of 120 t of fish. This can be extended to 240 with the addition of liquid oxygen facilities. -Fishponds are directly connected to the sea, allowing the fish to feed free-range, therefore producing a stock of excellent quality. -The ponds are connected to a warm water source, which stabilizes temperatures, allowing for fish farming all year round. -Licenses, leases and environmental studies are active and the business is therefore easily transferable. -The business was acquired by us 6 years ago, due to poor relations between the business’ inheritors, with the purpose of reselling. -In the past there was production of sea bass and sea bream etc. -Our business receives subsidies at 50% on any needed equipment and business tax has recently gone down by 4%.
The business was established 24 years ago by the original owner. It was inherited by his three children, and was then subsequently acquired by us in December 2015, due to poor relations between them. The business ceased activity when it was acquired by us, as it was bought with the purpose of reselling.
We acquired the business knowing that it is a great investment, as it produces possibly the best fish in Greece. Although quantities produced are not vast, it's their quality that sets them apart, which is evident in the colour of the fish. Our sea breams have golden and red hues on their gills, and our sea bass may be of better quality than wild type found in the sea. They could easily sell abroad at high prices for luxurious customers.
Debts owed to the tax authorities and lease agreements. These debts will be paid off by us upon receiving a down payment on the business.
